The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Harvey Hyde can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Mona, Stuart, Murray, Scott, Fraser and your families - So many memories are going through our heads - Harvey & Mona dancing so gracefully and in step together around the hall, playing pranks, singing under windows, in the choir, at the Matchettville cairn dedication, enjoying playing various instruments, and, of course, at the post office, always with a smile. More recently, sitting quietly with Mona in the lounge. His was truly a life well-lived and we will all miss him. Keith & Pat Sparling

Condolence From: Lorne and Mildred Parker
Condolence: Our deepest sympathies to the Hyde family, on Harvey's passing.
I have lots of memories of living next door to the Hyde Family many years ago.

Perhaps they are not the stars , but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.

And what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?
Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.
Kahlil Gibran

You will have countless happy memories to give you strength going forward.
Lorne and Mildred
